The Tezuka Osamu Manga Museum features the works of Tezuka Osamu who was one of the most famous comic artists in Japan. He created more than 1000 stories in his lifetime. He drew many famous comics, such as Mighty Atom (鉄腕アトム), Black Jack (ブラック ジャック), and Buddha (ブッダ). His 60-year life contributed for Japanese comic culture. This museum is located in Takarazuka city where he lived there from the age of 5 until he turned 24. It first opened in 1994 and displays his life’s work for all to see. There are 336 articles displayed and separated into two categories, which are “Takarazuka & Osamu Tezuka” and “Osamu Tezuka, Writer.” In the special exhibition hall, there are three themed exhibitions held there annually. In another hall, his original animated films are played and in the library visitors can read his works.
