Nakano Broadway

Nakano Broadway is a short walk away from Nakano Station, which is five minutes away from Shinjuku Station by train on the JR Chuo Line. Along the way you will pass by the Nakano Sunmall, which is 225 meters long shopping street filled with shops, restaurants, game centers, and many other varieties. The shopping complex has four levels and the second and third floors are where most of the anime and idol related shops are located. A variety of items can be found that range from manga (Japanese comic books) to collectors’ items. One of the most notable shops is Mandarake, which was first established in 1987 in Nakano Broadway. It first started as a second hand manga dealer, but now the chain is considered one of the largest anime and manga shops in the world. The first floor is where you can find clothing shoes, second hand goods, and other interesting items. Below the ground floor is where the grocery store is located.
