Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum

The Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum introduces visitors to the importance of invention and discovery through informative exhibits and fun hands-on workshops like the Chicken Ramen Factory and the My CUPNOODLES Factory. The museum is located in the Osaka Prefecture city of Ikeda, the birthplace of instant noodles. On August 25, 1958, Momofuku Ando invented the world's first instant noodles, "Chicken Ramen," after an entire year of research using common tools in a little shed he had constructed in the backyard of his house. Through rare objects and photos from the period, experience a vivid, graphical look at the eventful life of Momofuku Ando. Walk through the Instant Noodles Tunnel where about 800 product packages throughout history are displayed. There is a room where you can create your own cup of noodles by choosing the flavoring, toppings, and designing the Styrofoam cup for 300 yen.
