The Gion Corner has regularly scheduled one-hour shows that include a bit of tea ceremony, koto (Japanese zither) music, ikebana (art of flower arranging), gagaku (court music), kyogen (ancient comic plays), Kyomai (Kyoto-style dance) and Bunraku (classical puppet theatre). Gion Corner is located inside Yasaka Hall on the north side of Gion's Kaburenjo Hall, where Maiko (apprentice Geisha) and Geiko (Geisha) give presentations. There is also a Maiko Gallery, where videos of dances, the hair decorations worn by maiko dancers, and other items are on display. The show is targeted towards foreigners and costs 3,150 yen. Shows are held at 6 pm and 7pm every day except on certain holidays. The Kyomai dance is the highlight of the show as it is performed by real Maiko. At the end of each performance guests are allowed to take photos with the Maiko.
