Fuji-Q Highland is one of the most popular amusement parks in Japan. The amusement park is known for its roller coasters that hold the Guinness World Record for tallest, fastest, and steepest rides. Fujiyama was once the tallest and fastest roller coaster when it opened in 1996 and is the centerpiece attraction in the park. Dodonpa is the fastest roller coaster in the Fuji-Q Highland and is the record holder for the fastest acceleration. Eejanaika has the most inversions out of the attractions and has rotating seats within the car. Takabisha is the most recent addition and is the steepest roller coaster in the world. There are other large scale entertainment attractions available like mazes, haunted house, pirate ship, and ferris wheel. In the kids zone there is an area dedicated to the Thomas the Tank Engine called Thomas Land. Near the amusement park is Fujiyama Onsen, which is a modern hot spring facility with traditionally styled wooden baths.
