Tokyo Disneyland

Tokyo Disneyland first opened in 1983 and was the first Disney theme park to be built outside the United States. It was modeled after the parks in California and Florida. The park was built in Urayasu city in Chiba Prefecture, which is adjacent to Tokyo. It is the second most visited theme park in the world with the Magic Kingdom in Florida ranked as number 1. Tokyo Disneyland is more family orientated when compared to Tokyo Disney Sea. The park covers 115 acres and has seven themed areas which are Adventureland, Fantasyland, Critter Country, Tomorrowland, World Bazaar, Westernland, and Toon Town. There are seasonal parades and shows that happen throughout the day and into the night. There also the standard attractions that you see at the other parks like Space Mountain and Cinderella’s castle. One distinct feature of the park is the glass canopy that covers the World Bazaar area, which is similar to Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland.
