The Otsuka Museum of Art was established in 1998 by the Otsuka Pharmaceutical Group in celebration of their 75th anniversary. This grand structure located within Naruto Park in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan features replicated artworks on ceramic plates. These life-size masterpieces include Western art from all over the world including El Gerco, Goya, Monet and Picasso. Over 1000 replica pieces of art from over 190 art museums world- wide are preserved with the special technology on porcelain boards said to last over 2000 years. Visitors usually spend an entire day exploring this museum regarded as one of the largest exhibition spaces in Japan. Photographs can be taken at this location without restrictions from ropes or wires like those in traditional museums, thus providing an up close view of your favorite arts.
