Sengukan Museum was built as a memorial facility of the 62th Shikinensengu in 2013. Shikinensengu is a ritual held every 20 years. Starting from the Naiku (Inner Shrine) and Geku (Outer Shrine) of Ise-Jingu, along with the other 14 Betsu-gu, all of those need to be rebuilt and moved with the Kanza (place containing the sacred object of the shrine). Moreover, other than in total of 65 Densha, costumes, sacred treasures and Uji Bridge need to be rebuilt. Sengukan Museum means to be a place that tells the public information of the technology and meaning behind Jingu-Shinkinensengu Ceremony. Figures and videos of the manufacture process of Costume, sacred treasures and the construction process are exhibited in the museum. In the introduction exhibition room you can learn more about the Jinju using the touchscreen searching machine. Also you can watch the introduction videos of rituals, point of view about rebuilt the new Jingu and the meaning of Jinhu-shikinen- Sengu in the Sengu Theater.
