The Toyota Kaikan Museum displays the newest products and technologies as well as have exhibits on the history of Toyota. The museum is located adjacent to the Toyota Motor Corporation Headquarters. There is a daily two-hour tour available in the museum, but a reservation is required between two weeks to three months in advance. The plant tour is held in both English and Japanese Monday thru Friday starting at 11am. In the large showroom area on the first floor are variety of vehicles that visitors are allowed to enter and sit down. The displays around the showroom explains the production process and safety features for Toyota cars. On the second floor, there is a play area for children and shop selling various goods like miniature cars to souvenir key chains. In the basement, there is a Starbucks café and restaurant.
