Wakura Onsen is a hot spring resort town that has many ryokan (Japanese tradition inn) complexes. It is located by Nanao Bay on the Noto Peninsula. The most famous of the ryokans is Kagaya because of its consistent excellent service and facilities. Inside the large hot spring complexes are various activities that can be enjoyed. This includes karaoke rooms, bars, theaters, game centers, and restaurants. Nearby the Kagaya ryokan is a public square where a hot spring fountain can be found. There is also a shrine with a small park and hot spring source. Another place to visit is the Kado Isaburo Museum, which features the modern interpretations of lacquerware by the local artist Kado Isaburo. When you pay the admission to the museum it includes entry to the Le Musee de H, a confectionary museum. You can see a few sculptures that are made entirely of sweets in an artistic manner. It is recommended that an overnight stay at one of the ryokans will be the best way to enjoy your bathing experience.
