Shinjiko Onsen

Shinjiko Onsen

Shinjiko Onsen is conveniently located next to the Ichibata Railway and is also served by city buses. It is common for travelers to soak their travel-sore feet while waiting to board their railway trip. Not to mention, it’s free to the public. The Ichibata Railway provides easy access to Matsue Vogel Park, Matsue English Garden and Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine. Its water source is rich in minerals, sulfate and chlorate to name. Matsue Shinjiko Onsen gets its natural hot spring source from 1,250 meters below ground. It is located in the northern shore of Lake Shinji. Visitors can find a number of hotels and ryokans (traditional Japanese inn) with onsen in this area. The boardwalk that goes from Shinjiko Ohashi Bridge and stretches along the northern shore of Lake Shinjiko is a great place to take a stroll after a bath.
