The Robot Restaurant is located in a basement in the Kabukicho district of Shinjuku. It is a show filled with chrome floats, robots, bright lights, taiko drums, bikini- clad women, and techno music. When entering the waiting room, you will be greeted by metallic and mirrored surfaces, LED lights, and plush chairs shaped like snail shells. All the decorations and attractions in the restaurant costs about 10 billion yen to do. The floats during the performance have women either singing, dancing, or playing an instrument. Then later one the staff distributes light sticks for people to wave around to the performance. There is even a section in the performance where the robots fight each other. A meal option is offered for an extra fee, but it is not necessary for the 60-minute show.
