Roppongi (六本木) and the surrounding areas of Azabu, Hiroo, and Akasaka are known for having any embassies and foreigner communities. It is a district known for its nightlife amongst foreigners as there are a large number of foreigner friendly restaurants, clubs, and bars. A couple of redevelopment projects resulted in the construction of Roppongi Hills and Tokyo Midtown. Roppongi Hills is a structure that features apartments, shops, restaurants, offices, hotel, art museum, observation deck and much more. It serves as a good example of a city within the city and is the symbol of the Japanese IT industry. Tokyo Midtown is like Roppongi Hills and is home to one of Tokyo’s tallest buildings, the Midtown Tower. Located within the top floors of the Midtown Tower is the famed Ritz Carlton Tokyo, one the best hotels in Japan.
