Tokyo Midtown is like Roppongi Hills where it is a city within the city. It is comprised of six buildings that include shops, apartments, restaurants, museums, offices, luxury hotel, and a park. Tokyo Midtown first opened in 2007 and at the center of the complex is Midtown Tower. The structure is one of the tallest buildings in Tokyo at 248 meters. In the tower the top floors are occupied by the world class Ritz Carlton Hotel. Another building of note is the 4-story shopping and dining complex known as the Galleria. There is also the Suntory Museum of Art located in the Galleria building. The museum usually focuses on displaying traditional Japanese art and has five or six exhibitions per year. Behind the buildings of the area is the Hinokicho Park, which is a Japanese style garden. It is a nice place to relax amongst the towering structures.
