Our Ninja Shadow Clones Tours are carefully with sights and experiences to delight those who enjoy Japan's anime culture, especially in connection to Japanese ninja - their history, traditions, and impact on the Japan of today. It's a journey of discovery and cultural immersion winding through Tokyo, Hakone, Mount Fuji, Kyoto, Osaka, and Awaji Island, with featured itineraries during the spring cherry blossom and summer seasons.

Few destinations in Japan are more must-see than Tokyo, and vibrant metropolis beckons the anime fan to experience unforgettable delights. The Ghibli Museum celebrates the anime of Studio Ghibli, with portions of the museum designed by the acclaimed anime director Hayao Miyazaki. Akihabara is considered the anime capital of the world, lined with anime and game stores, arcades, maid cafes and more. Shibuya is a cultural icon for anime fans, with the statue of the faithful dog Hachiko, and the world- famous Shibuya Crossing. We also include the city's most iconic treasures; walk under the giant paper lantern at Asakusa Sensoji Temple, and zoom up to the observation deck of Tokyo Skytree for a memorable cityscape panorama.

Hakone is full of splendid natural landscape, including Lake Ashi and the Fuji Five Lakes Area, and this itinerary offers the most unique way to see it - the Ninja Water Spider Bus. This Ninja Bus was specially designed to drive on land and over water, which makes for incredible views of Japan's countryside. On the way to Kyoto we have our second Ninja experience: a trip to the Iga-Ryu Ninja Museum. This ninja house enchants any with an interest in ninjutsu, with hidden rooms, secret passages, and trap doors, not to mention exhibits of authentic ninja implements and weapons, and a live demonstration.

Kyoto is the heart of traditional Japan and the former imperial capital. Simply standing near one of the city's innumerable temples and shrines makes a visiting tourist feel like they stepped back into the Edo era - the age of ninja and samurai. A stop at some the more acclaimed temples is an absolute must: the tour includes visits to the Golden Pavilion's dazzling phoenix and Fushimi Inari Shrine's thousands of torii gates. While there, take a tour through the Toei Kyoto Studio Park, which features recreated historical set pieces used for Japanese period movies and programs.

The tour finishes in Osaka, but not before a stop at Awaji Island for the Nijigen no Mori Shinobi Zoo: a Naruto-themed adventure park, where anime and ninja culture collide. Osaka is the top place to go in Japan for mouth-watering street food from the Dotonbori canal area. Osaka has its own must-see anime corner: Nipponboshi Den Den Town, the Akiba of Western Japan. Browse our itinerary to view some of the additional options you can add to the tour, including the Robot Restaurant, Akasaka Ninja Restaurant, and NMB48 Theater.
