site with spiritual characteristics. Kagoshima has a
mild
climate and palm tree lined streets. Ibusuki is an
onsen
town famous for their sand baths. Yakushima is a
subtropical island off the coast of Kagoshima
prefecture
and was the inspiration for the setting of the animated
film Princess Mononoke.
