This tour will take you to the most famous attractions in Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, and Hiroshima, as well as the unique spots of Asago, Tottori, Matsue, Izumo, Hagi, and the art island of Naoshima. This itinerary is perfect for first time travelers to Japan, or visitors looking to experience both popular sites and places not often seen by tourists.

Our tour begins by visiting the renowned Himeji Castle, a stellar example of 17th century Japanese architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Stroll through the Edo-inspired Kokoen Garden, experience impressive views from the Takeda Castle Ruins, and end your day with a soothing bath at the Kinosaki Onsen. Continue to Tottori Sand Dunes, which is on CNN’s list of the most beautiful places in Japan. Visit Matsue where you will spend time in an inspiring art museum, enjoy a leisurely boat tour, and check out a preserved samurai district.

Tour the Izumo Grand Shrine, one of Japan’s most important shrines. Then, make your way to the Iwami Gunzan Silver Mine. Explore a former castle town and samurai residence in Hagi. Travel to Nagato to visit the unique Motonusumi-Inari Shrine, recognized for its tunnel of 123 vermillion-colored torii gates and its picturesque views of the Japan Sea. Continue to the Water Temple of Awaji Island, a fascinating architectural concept. Stroll through a beautiful greenhouse exhibition at Kiseki no Hoshi Botanical Garden, then savor the world-famous Kobe beef for dinner.

Travel to the ancient city of Nara, where you will visit the remarkable Todaiji Temple and the nearby deer park, filled with 1,000 freely roaming Sika deer. Spend two days in Kyoto, Japan's former capital, where you will get experience the city’s best gardens and temples. These sites are also regarded as the top places to see cherry blossoms. You will have the opportunity to participate in an authentic green tea ceremony, meet-and- greet with a maiko (apprentice geisha), and watch a kimono fashion show.

Make your way to the Miho Museum in Koka, where you can indulge in stunning architecture and follow a tunnel that leads to a road lined with hundreds of cherry blossoms.
