Travel to the most well known regions of Japan and its rural areas too while admiring Japan's famous cherry trees, plus Expo 2025 Osaka.

This tour consists of the Best of Japan with Japan see Alps itinerary and an additional day in Osaka for the Expo 2025 Osaka.

Expo 2025 Osaka is a global event in Japan showcasing future technologies, cultural exhibits, and sustainability solutions. The event features national pavilions, an innovation zone, and artistic installations. Visitors can explore themes like future living, sustainability, and cultural exchange while enjoying entertainment and international cuisine. The Expo aims to foster collaboration and envision a better future.

Japan's spring season is distinguished for its photogenic cherry blossoms, vibrant gardens, dense green foliage, and crisp clean air. Like our other "Best of Japan Tour " itineraries, this tour is designed for people who want to see the most popular sights in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Hiroshima, plus an opportunity to visit the Japanese Alps regions - Takayama and Matsumoto. In addition, you will also visit Shirakawa-go and Kanazawa. This tour caters to a wide variety of interests, including cultural aspects, architectural styles, nature spots, hot spring baths, contemporary sights, and Japanese cuisine.

Our private guides and drivers will help you navigate though Tokyo's historical landmarks, trendy neighborhoods, diverse shopping districts, and the best places to see cherry blossoms. Learn how to make your own sushi with a professional chef and enjoy whatever you made. Take in views of the impressive scenery at Hakone and Mt. Fuji. Stay at a Japanese ryokan (traditional inn), where you will feast on dinner and can relax in a soothing hot springs bath (onsen). Visit the dramatic Black Crow Castle (Matsumoto Castle) en route to Takayama, located amongst the Japanese Alps. Due to their remote location, these places are beautifully preserved and have developed their own unique culture different from the rest of Japan. Visit the charming village of Shirakawa-go, a rural area recognized for their gassho-zukuri architectural style. In Kanazawa, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the beautiful Kenrokuen Garden and see what six attributes make a perfect landscape.

Tour through the traditional city of Kyoto for two days. Each garden and temple you will visit in Kyoto has been selected for their impressive cherry blossom reputation. Our travel group will have the opportunity to experience an authentic green tea ceremony, meet-and- greet with a maiko (apprentice geisha). Visit Arashiyama, located on the outskirts of Kyoto, where you will explore the area's bamboo forest and see a traditional Zen garden at Tenryuji Temple. Continue your tour to Nara, where you will visit the magnificent Todaiji Temple and a park full of 1,000 freely roaming Sika deer. You will also travel to Osaka, a city with a reputation for its lively night life.

Visit the famous Himeji Castle and the photogenic canal town of Kurashiki. In Hiroshima, spend time at the Peace Memorial Museum and Park, then make your way to Miyajima Island to see the "floating" torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine. Afterwards, drive through the Shimanami Kaido, a scenic toll road that connects Japan's main island of Honshu to the island of Shikoku while passing over six small islands in the Seto Inland Sea.

On Shikoku Island, visit the charming Ritsurin Garden in Takamatsu, enjoy a quaint boat ride, and sightsee in the valleys of the Oboke Gorge. Our group will also have a chance to taste the world-famous Wagyu beef in Kobe. This itinerary is perfect for those who want to travel to the well known regions of Japan as well as some of the country's mountainous areas.
