Autumn can be one of the most comfortable times to take a multi-country tour of Taiwan and Japan - when the summer monsoon season ends and the landscapes of two of east Asia's most gorgeous islands are left fresh and green. Our tour begins in Taiwan by exploring some of the island's stunning natural wonders. Stop by Qingshui Cliffs for delightful views of the Pacific before viewing Taroko National Park, home to breathtaking Taroko Gorge. The "Grand Canyon of Taiwan" stands out as the star attraction, with picturesque appeal from river- carved canyon walls lined in bright marble, a natural artwork accented by lush green forested landscape. Then enjoy a refreshing cruise around Sun Moon Lake, an cobalt blue eye-shaped dot lined in hills and mountains covered in bushy trees. A clear day offers magnificent views of Lala Island, or of Ci En Pagoda's tiered spire. Roam the captivating mountain scenery at Alishan Forest, and take in the top views of verdant landscape from your seat on a train cruising the Alishan Scenic Railway. Discover Taichung - a cultural hub of Taiwan, and visit some of the area's top must-sees including the colorful houses in Rainbow Village, magnificent Wufeng Lin Family Mansion and Garden, Taichung National Theater, a sunset at Gao-mei Wetlands, and an evening at Fengjia Night Market. Wrap up the Taiwan portion in vibrant Taipei and get a taste of its history and local culture. We visit the monument to one of China's noteworthy leaders at the Chiang Kai- Shek Memorial Hall, peer back 8,000 years of Chinese history at the National Palace Museum, and browse the glamorous shopping mall within Taipei 101 - the tallest tower in Taiwan.

Then land in Osaka for the beginning of the Japan portion of the tour, where we will explore the UNESCO Heritage treasures of Kyoto and Nara. As two former imperial capitals, Kyoto and Nara preserve Japan's classical mysteries in must-visit locations like the Golden Pavilion, Kiyomizu Temple, Fushimi Inari Shrine, and Todaiji - the "Great Eastern Temple", which is guarded by a heard of adorable little Sika deer. Kyoto is the best place for some cultural immersion, where you'll get a taste of traditional Japan at a Green Tea Ceremony hosted by a geisha apprentice. Enjoy the splendid nature panorama of the Hakone region's mountains, lakes, and forests from an airborne gondola on the Hakone Ropeway, where fortunate travelers riding in clear weather receive an unforgettable view of Mount Fuji on their way to the Owakudani hot springs. The tour ends in the metropolis of Tokyo with a perfect day tour balancing the city's historic and modern delights. Stroll under the massive red lantern hanging under the Gate of Thunder at Asakusa Sensoji Temple, visit the Japan's largest and busiest fish market, drive by the historical Imperial Palace, ascend Tokyo Skytree for a 360-degree view of Tokyo's cityscape, and enjoy the bustling atmosphere of Japan's top travel destination.
