Explore deeper into Japan by traveling to the country’s three main islands: Kyushu, Honshu, and Shikoku. This itinerary also takes you to the less frequented parts of Japan, including the Japanese Alps regions - Takayama and Matsumoto. Experience a comprehensive visit to Japan during the spring, one of the most beautiful seasons in Japan.

Begin your tour in Tokyo, where you will visit the city’s modern attractions, historical monuments, bustling shopping districts, and even learn how to make your own sushi with a professional chef. This tour will also give you the chance to experience a traditional green tea ceremony, watch a kimono fashion show, unwind in a hot springs (onsen), savor gourmet kaiseki cuisine, and ride a high-speed Shinkansen bullet train.

Enjoy a ropeway ride over Hakone and Owakudani, and take in views of Japan’s famous Mt Fuji. Head to the striking Black Crow Castle before your journey to Takayama, located in the Japanese Alps. This traditional, beautifully preserved town maintains its unique atmosphere due to its remote location. Next, visit the quaint village of Shirakawa-go, famous for its Gassho- zukuri architecture. Stroll through one of Japan’s top three gardens, Kenrokuen Garden, before spending two days in Kyoto.

In Kyoto, you will gain exclusive access to a hand- selected list of the city’s best shrines, temples, and gardens. Visit a charming bamboo forest and a traditional Zen garden in Arashiyama, located on the outskirts of Kyoto. Continue to Nara for its noteworthy Todaiji Temple, and spend time at a deer park where over 1,000 Sika deer freely roam. Afterwards, make your way to Osaka, a city renowned for its vibrant nightlife and entertainment districts.

Stop by one of the most visited castles in Japan, Himeji Castle, and then visit the charming canal town of Kurashiki. Cross the Seto Ohashi Bridge to the Shikoku Island, where you will get to visit an open-air museum and Ritsurin Park, a Japanese landscape masterpiece. Then, drive through the Shimanami Kaido back to the Honshu Island, a scenic toll road that passes over six tiny islands in the Seto Inland Sea. From there, take in views of the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridges at the Kirosan Observatory.

Continue to Hiroshima for an enlightening experience at the Peace Memorial Museum and A-Bomb Dome. Then, take a short ferry ride to Miyajima Island, home to the famous vermilion torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine. Go back in time by visiting the samurai districts of Kitsuki, discover the hot spring “hells” of Beppu, and meet some of the 1,500 wild Japanese monkeys at Mt. Takasaki Monkey Park. We will also go to the legendary town of Takachiho, where you will be treated to a special Yokagura Dance Performance.

After experiencing the unspoiled, natural scenery of the Takachiho Gorge, head to Nagasaki. There, visit the Nagasaki Peace Park, which holds a memorial for the victims of the second bomb that hit Japan. Next, visit Dejima, an area with over 400 years of history in Dutch trade during Japan’s isolation period. See a collection of Western mansions at Glover Garden before visiting the Oura Catholic Church, the oldest standing Christian church in Japan. End your tour with a choice Wagyu beef dinner in Fukuoka.
