Tour Japan with the finest accommodations and experiences in groups of 2 to 6 people.

Enjoy more than just sightseeing. These tours will allow you to eat in small local restaurants, visit hidden gems, stay at hotels with limited occupancy, take part in activities available only to small groups, and enjoy more interaction with your tour guides. Ultra-Deluxe small group tours are the ultimate way to visit Japan with hand-picked, top hotels and ryokans (traditional inns) to relax in. Select from a unique range of luxurious cultural experiences that are limited to smaller groups, which is why the maximum group size is 6 guests.

Japan Walking Tours

Travel Japan more flexibly in groups of 10 to 16 people using public transportation.

These tours are ideal for travelers who want more free time to explore their own interests in Japan with the balance of having an escorted tour guide. Go without private coach transportation and opt for using public trains and local buses. Travelers usually stay for at least 2 nights at a destination on a Japan Walking Tour, allowing for a more relaxed and in-depth visit. Your tour guide will give you local advice and tips for things to see and do in your spare time. Experience Japanese culture firsthand with a more flexible itinerary.

Travel to Japan on your summer vacation and stay at top-tier accommodations while visiting must-see sites and local gems. Our Japan Luxury Tours offer travelers the chance to experience choice dining options, unique cultural activities, and the best attractions Japan has to offer. Book a luxurious tour for a truly memorable summer trip to Japan.

Begin your tour in Tokyo, where you will visit some of the city’s historical landmarks and popular sites. This includes the Imperial Palace and the Asakusa Sensoji Temple, two famous attractions in Tokyo. Learn how to make traditional Japanese cuisine by first shopping for ingredients with a professional chef, then participating in a delicious home cooking class. Continue to the tallest structure in Japan, the Tokyo Skytree, for panoramic views from its modern observation deck. Enjoy an exclusive dinner with a foreign exchange student, where you may ask questions about culture shock and their foreign perspective in Japan.

Travel to Nikko along the winding turns of the snakelike Irohazaka road. Then, visit the Kegon Waterfall, one of Japan’s most beautiful waterfalls. From there, reach the lavishly decorated resting place of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate. Here, you will get to experience a Shinto ceremony with a Shinto priest or priestess (miko), where they will pray for good luck for the group.

Visit the beautiful countryside of Katsunuma for wine tasting, a superb lunch, and relaxing views. Then, find yourself gazing upon the iconic Mt. Fuji before visiting the photogenic Lake Kawaguchiko. From there, spend time at the fascinating museum of Kubota Itchiku, famous for his silk dyeing technique that he used to create elaborately decorated kimonos.

Head to Hakone and stroll through the extraordinary art exhibit of the Hakone Open Air Museum. Afterwards, board a leisurely cruise and sightsee around the stunning Lake Ashi. Take in the natural scenery of Hakone on a ropeway ride, then explore the steamy volcanic valley of Owakudani.

Experience riding a high-speed bullet train to Osaka, then visit the historic Osaka Castle. In Nara, make your way to the remarkable Todaiji Temple. Its main hall is one of the largest wooden structures in the world and is home to a giant bronze Buddha statue. Stop by the Deer Park located just outside of the temple, where over hundreds of freely roaming Sika deer can be found.

Explore the ancient city of Kyoto, where you will spend three entire days visiting must-see sites and experiencing exclusive cultural activities. Our travel group will have the chance to experience wearing a Japanese kimono while touring Kyoto, practice Zen meditation with a monk, take part in a traditional tea ceremony with a tea master, and enjoy fine dining with an apprentice geisha (maiko). To further indulge in Japanese cultural festivities, you will also have the opportunity to visit some of the city’s private gardens and meet with a garden designer, as well as enjoy sake tasting with a sake expert.
