The origin of Takayama Festivals dated back to the 16th or 17th century. Takayama Hachiman Festival is the autumn counterpart of the Takayama Sanno Festival in spring. Hence, this tour is the autumn equivalent of our " Takayama Sanno Spring Festival" tour. It is designed for you to experience one of the three largest festivals in Japan as well as other culture and customs that make Japan unique. Hachiman Autumn Festival takes place on October 9 and 10 every year. The main feature of the Takayama Festival is gorgeous yatai (floats) decorated with detailed carvings, tapestries, and karakuri dolls (marionettes). This itinerary also feature national parks, architecture, and "must see" sights of Tokyo & Kyoto.

The tour begins in Osaka, following a route of mountainous interior through coastal regions of Honshu island, and finishes in Tokyo. You’ll get the opportunity to experience a green tea ceremony, interact and take photos with an apprentice geisha (maiko) , relax in the hot springs (onsen), savor gourmet kaiseki cuisine and enjoy a festival. Our private guides and drivers will take you to visit Osaka and Nara as well as the ancient city of Kyoto, where you will have exclusive access to the city’s gardens, imperial villas, temples, shrines and specialty shops. In addition, you will also have a chance to stroll the beautiful Kenrokuen Garden in Kanazawa and see what six attributes make a perfect landscape.
