This tour is our current "Golden Route" itinerary plus one extra day for the Gion Summer Festival, one of the three largest festivals in Kyoto and an additional day in Osaka for the Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai.

Expo 2025 Osaka is a global event in Japan showcasing future technologies, cultural exhibits, and sustainability solutions. The event features national pavilions, an innovation zone, and artistic installations. Visitors can explore themes like future living, sustainability, and cultural exchange while enjoying entertainment and international cuisine. The Expo aims to foster collaboration and envision a better future.

This itinerary begins in Osaka for it's Osaka Castle. We will then take you visit Nara, where you will be inspired by the intricate architecture and towering monuments, including the Great Buddha statue, and you'll understand why this city is considered the birthplace of Buddhism in Japan. Spend three days in the ancient city of Kyoto, where you will have exclusive access to the city's gardens, temples, shrines, specialty shops, and the Gion Summer Festival. The Gion Festival, familiarly known as "Gion-san", is a festival held at Yasaka- jinja Shrine, and the highlight is the splendid pageant of some 30 floats called yamaboko proceeding along the main streets of Kyoto on the 17th. Each float, two-storied and about 6 meters tall, is topped with a long pole shaped like a spear. Adorned with exquisite craftwork such as woven fabric, dyed textiles and sculptures, these floats are so gorgeous that they are sometimes even described as 'mobile art museums. You'll also get the opportunity to experience a green tea ceremony and meet a maiko (apprentice geisha).

Visit Miho Museum, a stunning architecture that accentuates the surrounding nature while exhibiting a variety of items from different ancient civilizations. It was designed by the renowned architect, I. M. Pei, and is named after Koyama Mihoko, one of the richest women in Japan and the founder of the museum. Moreover, the museum has been listed as one of the "1000 Places To See Before You Die". From there, visit Koka Ninja Mansion. This mansion used to be resided in by ninja, equipped with many ingenious traps and devices, designed to prevent intruders and to provide a means of escape in times of need. Then, experience riding one of Japan's Shinkansen bullet trains before transferring to Hamanako Kanzanji Onsen. There, you'll stay at an onsen hotel (Japanese style room), where you can unwind in the hot springs (onsen) and dine on gourmet kaiseki cuisine.

Spend a day at Hakone and the world famous Mt. Fuji. Then, enjoy comprehensive touring in Tokyo. Explore Tokyo's cultural landmarks, fashionable neighborhoods, and diverse shopping districts on a private guided tour. Learn how to make your own sushi with a professional sushi chef and savor your delicious creations. Explore attractions like the bustling streets of Shibuya, Asakusa district with an atmosphere of old Tokyo, Japan's largest and busiest fish market, drive by the historical Imperial Palace, and take in the view from the record-breaking Tokyo Skytree’s main observation deck.
