Join our most extensive tour of Japan from the northern island of Hokkaido to the southern city of Fukuoka.

For those longing for adventure and wishing to see Japan's four main islands, this itinerary offers it all. Enjoy 3 weeks of exploring Japan from the northern island of Hokkaido to the southern island of Kyushu, stopping throughout the journey to explore cities and sights in between.

Begin your trip in Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost island, where you will visit Sapporo to learn about the history of the city. Enjoy shopping at morning markets, where you can try fresh seafood for breakfast. Travel south to visit Lake Toya and Hakodate as your guide provides valuable insight to landmarks and attractions. Enjoy a train ride through the Seikan Tunnel, which will take you to Japan's main isalnd of Honshu. Continue south, visiting Matsushima and Nikko, taking in the stunning natural scenery.

Upon arriving in the bustling city of Tokyo, visit cultural landmarks, fashionable neighborhoods, and diverse shopping districts. Explore world famous attractions such as the Imperial Palace, Tsukiji Market, and Asakusa Temple. Spend a day at Hakone and Mt. Fuji, taking in the stunning sights before checking in to your ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) for the night. Unwind in the hot springs (onsen) at the inn and dine on gourmet kaiseki cuisine. The next day, enjoy the bus ride to the remote Japanese Alps, where something special can be seen each season. You will then spend two days in the ancient city of Kyoto with exclusive access to the city’s top gardens, temples, shrines, and specialty shops. Enjoy participating in a traditional green tea ceremony in the nearby city of Uji, known for their production of green tea. In Nara, be inspired by the intricate architecture and towering monuments, including the Great Buddha statue. In the evening, enjoy the lively shopping street of Shinsaibashi and the popular Osaka street food in Dotonbori.

Journey across the Seto Ohashi Bridge and through Takamatsu before heading to Hiroshima, a city destroyed by an atomic bomb during World War II. Today, the city flourishes and offers shopping centers, beautiful gardens, the Memorial Peace Park, and the Atomic Bomb Museuem. A short ferry ride away lies Miyajima, a sacred city famed for its vermilion torii gate of the Itsukushima Shrine, also known as the "floating" torii gate. Your tour will end in Southern Japan, where you will visit Beppu to see the playful monkeys, Takachiho where you will learn the tale of Amaterasu, Nagasaki to see a memorial site dedicated to those that lost their lives from the second atomic bomb, and finally, Fukuoka, where you will have the chance to shop the food stalls at night.
