Honshu, travel to Okinawa, where guests will spend a
few days on Ishigaki Island, enjoying various activities at

Japanese culture, and relax on the beaches of Ishigaki
Island during your journey.
Follow your guide through Tokyo's cultural landmarks,
fashionable neighborhoods, and diverse shopping
districts. Visit the Tsukiji Outer Market, where guests can
find Tokyo's freshest seafood, as well as several shops
and restaurants. Guests will also learn how to prepare
their own sushi before visiting Meiji Shrine and
Harajuku's Omotesando District. Shop the fashionable
boutiques and upscale cafes or visit Takeshita Street, a
haven of fashionable and quirky shops. Visit Asakusa
Sensoji Temple, Tokyo's oldest temple, and watch a
sumo practice match. Travel to Akihabara, known for its
electronic stores and anime goods, before enjoying
dinner at the lively Robot Restaurant. After departing
from Tokyo, make the journey to Hakone to enjoy a
cruise around Lake Ashi and take a ride on the Hakone
Ropeway. Check-in at your Japanese Inn (Ryokan) for
the night, enjoying a traditional kaiseki dinner and
unwinding in the therapeutic bath waters of the inn's hot
spring baths. If the weather allows, visit the 5th Station
of Mt. Fuji and the nearby Kubota Itchiku Art Museum.
Marvel at the beautiful kimono that were decorated
using the Tsujigahana silk dyeing technique. In the
afternoon, take a high-speed bullet train to the ancient
city of Kyoto.
In Kyoto, first visit Nijo Castle's scenic grounds before
traveling to the Golden Pavillion, known as Kinkakuji.
This Zen Temple's top two floors have been covered in
gold leaf which reflect on the surrounding pond. In
Arashiyama, visit the Tenryuji Temple and the Zen
Garden and make your way through the bamboo forest.
Experience trying on a kimono and visit a machiya to
learn about origami, try your hand at calligraphy and
ikebana, the art of flower arrangement. Your final day in
Kyoto will be spent exploring the city, stopping by
Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kiyomizu Temple, and Kodaiji
Temple, where guests will participate in a green tea
ceremony. Explore the Gion Geisha District's many
shops and savor the flavors of Kyoto Cuisine while
watching a geisha performance. You will then leave
behind Honshu and travel to Okinawa, where you will
spend the next two days on Ishigaki Island, snorkeling,
diving, or just relaxing on the beach.
