Southern Tokyo is where Odaiba, Roppongi, Tokyo Midtown, Shinbashi, Tokyo Tower, and Shinagawa can be found.
Southern Tokyo is where you can find the latest fashion,
food, and entertainment options in Tokyo. This area is
where you can find Odaiba, Roppongi, Tokyo Midtown,
Shinbashi, Tokyo Tower, and Shinagawa. Odaiba and
Roppongi have structures that seem futuristic to visitors
and is one of the attractions when visiting those areas. In
Odaiba you can find the boldest architectural creations in
Tokyo like Tokyo Big Site and the Fuji TV Building.
Roppongi is home to many embassies and large
foreigner communities. It is a cultural center with many
art museums available for visiting.
Tokyo Midtown is the center of the Roppongi district and
is where the world class Ritz Carlton is located.
Shinbashi is the business hub where many office workers
traverse through. The area is best known as the first
railway station in Tokyo and can be recognized by the
steam locomotive in the plaza outside the Shinbashi
Station. Shinagawa is one of the major transportation
hubs in Tokyo and has been one since the Edo Period
(1603-1867). It is also right across from the redeveloped
commercial district of Shiodome. Tokyo Tower is the
former main broadcast antenna. It was modeled after the
Eiffel Tower and was the tallest tower until the Tokyo
Skytree was built.
