Tokyo Outlying Areas

The outlying areas surrounding Tokyo are short train rides away from the heart of the city. This is in reference to places like Chiba, Kawasaki, Sagamihara, Saitama, and Yokohama. The Ogasawara Islands that are located south west from the coast of Tokyo is considered part of the metropolis. A few of the notable attractions include Sanrio Puroland, Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Sea, Sawanoi Sake Brewery, and Ghibli Museum. People would think that many of these places are part of Tokyo, but in actuality these attractions are found in the neighboring areas. If you are looking for excursions outside the metropolis then it is great to look at the surrounding areas of Tokyo.
