Room Type Explained

Single Room

Single room types are rooms for single room occupants.
One person will be occupying the hotel room throughout the tour.

Twin Room

Twin room types are rooms set for two people who will occupy one room, but will have two separate beds.

Double Room

A double room is a room that has one bed for two people to share.

Triple Room

A triple room is one room where three people may share the same room. It has three separate beds.

Japanese Style Room

A Japanese-style room traditionally does not have a western-style bed, it is a tatami floor room with futon bedding. However, if you prefer a western-style bed, you may request one though we cannot guarantee it.

Please note: If you would like to request neighboring rooms next to your traveling companions, you and your traveling companions must have the same room types in order to be next to each other. For example, if you have requested a double room, but your traveling companions have requested a twin, or triple room, then neighboring rooms cannot be accommodated. However, if both you and your traveling companions match in room type, then neighboring rooms will likely be arranged for your convenience.

But the main draw for honeymoon travelers on this tour is an intentionally easy pace that allows you and your loved one time simply to be: to relax and soak in the atmosphere of these incredible places together. These long moments of enchantment are interrupted only by immersive cultural activities designed to let honeymooners enjoy their time together while experiencing the authentic Japan.

Start in Tokyo, which includes such destinations as bustling Tsukiji Outer Market, peaceful Meiji Shrine, fashionable Harajuku, traditional Asakusa, and eccentric Akihabara. While there, you will experience making your own sushi, a sumo lesson and practice match, a ninja lesson, and a dinner cruise on Tokyo Bay. We even include some free leisure time to wander Tokyo, finding your own adventures. From there, we make our way to the gorgeous Hakone / Mount Fuji region, where you will cruise Lake Ashi on a replica pirate ship, take the Hakone Ropeway to the active volcanic region of Owakudani, then admire the art installations at the Hakone Open Air Museum. Spend a day admiring the beauty of Mount Fuji’s 5th Station (in good weather).

The tour proceeds to Hiroshima via first-class bullet train, to walk the stately Hiroshima Peace Park and view the thought-provoking exhibits in the Peace Museum. Nearby is Miyajima Island, which contains one of the “Three Views of Japan” – the floating shrine gate of Ituskushima Shrine. We will also take time to wander and explore the island’s other attractions, which include Senjokaku Hall, Daisho-in Temple, and Mount Misen. After, we go to Onomichi for a visit to Kosanji Temple and a cycling tour along the Shimanami Kaido, which provide breathtaking views of the islands in the Seto Inland Sea. We then visit Nara, with its enormous Buddha Statue at Todaiji Temple, and park full of adorable wild deer, on the way to Kyoto.

Kyoto is considered by many to be Japan’s most romantic city, and its numerous temples and shrines perpetuate the atmosphere of time-honored enchantment you feel as you explore its most amazing landmarks, such as the Golden Pavilion, Kiyomizu Temple, Fushimi Inari Grand Shrine, and Kodaiji Temple. We bring you into the authentic traditional culture of Kyoto through a Shinto Wedding Ceremony at a Shrine, a lesson in traditional arts like Calligraphy, Origami, and Ikebana, and a dinner of Kyoto Kaiseki cuisine hosted by a Geisha.

Welcome to Tokyo

Welcome to Tokyo! We will arrange your private transportation from the airport. Please look for the guide with the All Japan Tours sign.

Day2

Tokyo (Tsukiji Outer Fish Market Tour / Sushi Making & Lunch / Meiji Shrine / Harajuku - Takeshita District & Omotesando)

After breakfast, make your way to the Tsukiji Outer Market, filled with shops and restaurants where you can try fresh produce and other food-related goods. Next, learn how to create your own sushi with a professional sushi chef. Whatever you make, you will get to eat for lunch! Note: For Sushi Making Experience, if you are a vegetarian, on a gluten-free diet, have a seafood allergy, or don't eat raw fish, please contact us for other ingredient options. Stroll through the Takeshita district of Harajuku and surround yourself with fascinating shops and the latest fashion trends. Harajuku is especially known for its more eccentric fashions, but cute and conventional items can be purchased here as well. Not in the mood for shopping? Not to worry – Harajuku also is a great place for people watching! Then visit Omotesando Avenue, a sloping tree-lined boulevard in Tokyo's fashionable Aoyama district that goes through parts of both Shibuya and Minato wards.

Day3

Tokyo (Asakusa Sensoji Temple & Nakamise Street / Sumo Lesson and Practice Match / Akihabara / Tokyo Bay Dinner Cruise)

In the morning, you will be taken to Asakusa – a grouping of sacred buildings belonging to two separate religions. Here, you will see Japan's two main religions living together in harmony. This is an active place of worship where you can see the largest paper lantern in Japan. One piece of this area is Asakusa Kannon Temple, or Senso-ji, one of Tokyo's oldest and most famous temples. The first section of the temple that most people will visit is the Kaminarimon, Kaminari Gate, which serves as the entrance to the market. This temple belongs to its own independent sect of Buddhism. You will also be able to explore the Nakamise Market, which is located right after the temple's outer gates. This is a traditional-style shopping street with several centuries of history. Then enjoy a personal lesson in the Japanese sport of Sumo, followed by a Practice match! Next, head to the electric city of Akihabara for its establishments dedicated to anime and manga culture. Finally, enjoy a delicious dinner while on a romantic night cruise of Tokyo Bay.

In the morning, you will be free for leisure to explore Tokyo on your own. Later, you will take part in a lesson on a few techniques used by Ninja.

Hakone (Lake Ashi Cruise / Hakone Ropeway / Owakudani / Open Air Museum)

Today, you will board a Lake Ashi Cruise where you can enjoy and appreciate Hakone’s natural scenery. We will take a 20-minute ropeway ride from Togendai to Owakudani. Along the ropeway, weather permitting, there will be great views of Mt. Fuji in the distance. While in Owakudani, visitors will have the chance to see hot springs and sulfurous fumes along the trails of an active volcanic zone. Finally, we will visit the Hakone Open Air Museum which successfully attempts to create a harmonic balance of nature and art by exhibiting various sculptures on its grounds in combination with views of the surrounding valley and mountains.

Mt Fuji (5th Station - Depending on the weather condition)

If the weather is in our favor, we will travel to Mt. Fuji’s 5th station, the most popular and convenient spot to enjoy views of the iconic mountain. In the afternoon, feel free to explore Mt. Fuji and Hakone at your leisure.

First Class Bullet Train to Hiroshima, Hiroshima (Peace Memorail Park & Museum)

In the morning, transfer to Odawara Station and board the bullet train to Hiroshima. Our first destination of the day is the Peace Memorial Park. The Peace Park consists of the Peace Memorial Museum, the A-Bomb Dome, and the Cenotaph for the A-Bomb Victims. The Peace Park is one of the most significant features of the city, devoted to the events that occurred on August 6, 1945. Then, in the afternoon, we will move on to nearby Miyajima Island.

Day8

Miyajima Island (Itsukushima Shrine / Senjokaku Hall / Daisho- in Temple / Mount Misen - Ropeway)

After breakfast, we will travel to Miyajima Island, where we will see Itsukushima Shrine. It is famous for being uniquely built over water, and its large torii gate that appears to “float” over the sea during high tide. Next, stop by Senjokaku Hall, an incomplete structure dedicated to Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Then, we will tour the Daisho-in Temple, one of the most important Buddhist temples of the Shingon sect. It is located at the base of Mount Misen, which is where we will experience a scenic ropeway ride. At the top, you will get spectacular views of the Seto Inland Sea and, on clear days, you may be able to see at far as Hiroshima city.

Onomichi (Kosanji Temple / Shimanamikaido - Cycling Tour), First Class Bullet Train to Kyoto

In the morning, travel to Onomichi, then travel into the peaceful mountain valley to Kosanji Temple, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. This temple is steeped in history dating back to 774 and has contributed possibly the first tea field in Japan, the first manga, and many other important historical events and artifacts. After, head over to Shimanamikado bikeway for a cycling tour through six small islands around Japan's breathtaking coastline. In the afternoon, transfer to Hiroshima and board the bullet train to Kyoto.
